Every day is the festival of
Tirumala Tirupathi. On each of the days in the week, the Lord of lords will
bless his devotees in a special type of ritual. In each of the days in the
week, the prayers and the offerings are different. The rituals that occur in
the whole week are called as the pujas. Very few number of devotees are allowed
in the pujas as there are very less number of online booking Tirupati darshan tickets.
During the Mondays, the puja that
is held is known as the Visesha puja. Every Monday, the second bell rings and
the utsava vigraha is taken at the Mantapa for theChaturdasa Kalasa Puja or
known as the 14 kalasas puja. After getting the permission from Sri Malayappa
Swami, the archakas is rendered by the ankurarpana and punyaha vachanam.
On the Tuesdays, the puja that is
being performed is the Pada Padmaaradhana, also it is known as the Ashtadala.
This puja is performed after the second bell. The archaka starts the puja by
offering the arti stick and the lamp to the main deity. Then, he takes the
divine names, which are 108 names of Lord. While uttering the 108 names each
time, a golden lotus is given at the feet of the deity. After completing the
archana to the lord, the arachana is offered to the Goddess Padmavati and
Lakshmi.
On Wednesdays, the seva that is
performed is known as the Sahasra Kalasa Abhishekam. This seva is held to
deities and they connected in the form that it donates money at last. Here, the
Bhogo Srinivasa represents the Mula Virat.
During the Thursdays, after the
morning puja, the Mula Virat is then divested over the ornaments and the
flowers. Then the Poolangi Seva is performed.
